Secrets de musées Season 2 Premiere Broadcast on Historia TV in Quebec
The French version of Museum Secrets, Secrets de musées, makes its Season 2 debut at 7 PM on Friday August 24, on Historia TV. All eight full episodes will be broadcast over the next few months for French audiences in Quebec.

Italy, London and Paris Bound!
It’s very busy at the Museum Secrets production office here in Toronto!
We have a film crew poised for departure to Italy this weekend to shoot an upcoming episode at the Uffizi Gallery for Season 3.
Then, next week our Series Producer, Versailles episode Director and our Executive Producer head out to London and Paris to scout more museums for the upcoming season.

Premiere Broadcast Air Dates for Season 2 in the UK!
The Yesterday Channel on UKTV in England will be airing Museum Secrets Season 2 for the first time this summer.
Starting on June 22, 2012, Yesterday will broadcast Museum Secrets on Fridays at 9 PM for 8 weeks.

Season 3 Gets Green-Light!
After a second hit season on History Television Canada, Kensington Communications Inc. has begun prep work for another batch of Museum Secrets shows, to roll out early in 2013. Our terrific production team is back, many of the same people from last year, digging up more secrets ‘dark and strange’.

On March 1st we hosted several dozen bloggers in Toronto to watch Museum Secrets: Inside the Pergamon and Neues Museums, Berlin. Guests were treated to a Viking sword fight demonstration to wet their appetites for the upcoming episode, and then played trivia to test their knowledge of the show.
As viewers watched on History Television, they tweeted. The event caused quite a stir, with viewers and event guests generating hundreds of tweets with the #MuseumSecrets hashtag - A testament to our growing online community.
Museum Secrets Nominated for 2 History Makers Awards
Museum Secrets has been selected in this year’s History Makers Awards, which recognizes the very best in History, Current Affairs and Non-Fiction programming, across TV and digital platforms. We’re in the running for Best Interactive Production and Most Innovative Production.
Black Square (1915) – Still influential on Modern Art
The Black Square is a mysterious but easily overlooked painting by Kazimir Malevich made in 1915 that hangs at the Hermitage Museum in the “Hidden Treasures” gallery reserved for master Impressionist painters such as van Gogh, Renoir, Degas and Cezanne. It’s just a simple monotone square that looks nothing like the other elaborate works – So why is it there? Why did Stalin hate The Black Square? Why is this painting still influential today?
