Season 1 now on TV in the UK
The first season of Museum Secrets has started airing on Yesterday TV in the UK. Fans of history can catch all six episodes from August 5 – September 18th.
Season 2 takes us to Topkapi Palace
We went to Istanbul, a city of mosques and bazaars, to find out the secrets of the splendid Topkapi Palace, the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans during their reign in power for nearly 400 years from 1465-1856. Through the objects in the wonderful collection of the Topkapi we hope to find out the secrets of the Ottomans.
Museum Secrets is nominated for 3 Gemini Awards
This morning The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced the nominations for the 26th Annual Gemini Awards. Of the 110 categories on offer, Museum Secrets has been nominated in 3 categories, for best cross-platform project non-fiction (Robert Lang and David Oppenheim), the Barbara Sears Award for Best Editorial Research (Rebecca Snow), and Best Original Music Score for a Documentary Program or Series (Eric Cadesky and Nick Dyer).
